Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

ServiceNow is looking for a Sr. Director Field Marketing EMEA North to develop, build and lead a modern field marketing function. This role is responsible for field marketing and demand generation investments for the North EMEA region, ensuring that the resources match the company’s goals and established commercial objectives for thought leadership, demand generation and pipeline acceleration. This leader will partner closely with sales leadership and ensure teams across marketing, and other key functions, are aligned to supporting field marketing plans across North EMEA.

This executive will play a key role in telling the ServiceNow story as the company continues a pace of record setting growth in the market. She/he will serve as a key partner in this growth by continuing to build ServiceNow’s brand and footprint through effective field strategies, lead generation, pipeline development and sales enablement. The EMEA North Demand Marketing team will develop data-driven and customized solutions to various territories, workflows, business units and industry teams in order to meet revenue targets and financial objectives for the business.

The role will develop a deep understanding of ServiceNow’s domain and growing customer base to develop field marketing campaigns. She/he will drive an integrated partnership with the sales organization, effectively deploying the budget and leveraging data to meet and exceed targets. The successful candidate will also be expected to share and assist in deployment of best practices, as it relates to field marketing and demand generation, across the EMEA region and globally. This individual will also be expected to partner with other key functions and drive broader business initiatives for ServiceNow.

The ideal candidate will be a world-class B2B field marketing leader with a strong pipeline and revenue orientation. She/he will bring experience leading a talented team of ABM, channel, industry, and integrated campaign marketers with a demonstrated ability to recruit top tier talent. An inspirational people leader, this executive will have the ability to break down silos through influence and will have experience successfully partnering with sales teams and extended marketing business partners to meet aggressive growth targets.

  • The sophistication, executive presence, and broad leadership qualities of a leader at scale – the ability to drive discipline and transformation within large company environment, and to leverage that expertise to improve and enhance the North EMEA Demand Marketing function of a growing business
  • Effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others; executive presence and executive communications skills as the successful candidate will be an integral member of both the EMEA Marketing Leadership team as well as the North EMEA management team.
  • Demonstrated success, track record and knowledge in all aspects of modern marketing including segment marketing, digital acquisition, data & insights driven marketing
  • With a background in enterprise SaaS, this leader will have technical and market acumen; they will be able to quickly drive effective campaigns in a competitive environment. She/he will bring a passion and a skill to building businesses through field marketing and enabling sales teams. 

The role reports into the VP EMEA Marketing and currently has a team of 8 awesome marketeers.  Key competencies include:

Field Marketing Leadership: Proven track record and in-depth experience in successfully leading and transforming North EMEA field marketing and demand generation to drive business results. Ideally, has progressive experience in a cloud business of scale.

Pipeline and Revenue Orientation: Provides leadership and insights into how field marketing campaigns, demand generation and events affect business growth (pipeline acceleration, ROI). Effectively partners with and enables sales teams.

Data & Analytics: Leads with a data-driven and analytically minded approach to drive customer acquisition, retention and account-building. Builds capabilities to forecast trends and develops field strategies to meet them.

Team & People Leadership: Experience leading a multi-faceted team both directly and through influence. Ability to assess and evaluate existing teams, while identifying strong talent, recruiting for diverse skills and perspectives, and possessing the fortitude to hold people accountable.
