Job Description

What you get to do in this role:  

  • Develop applications in and out of the ServiceNow platform to enable and enhance security operations.
  • Design and build end to end automations in support of reducing friction, energy, and cost of security service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively and energetically as a consultant to internal consumers, supporting and translating business needs into technical design for both automation and application development activities.
  • Reverse engineer established solutions to improve and optimize application and automation delivery.
  • Develop in multiple languages, platforms, and environments.
  • Account for and track work efforts in support of AGILE ceremonies and larger project management.
  • Participate as needed as an escalation contact in the on-call rotation, to ensure that Security Operations teams are properly supported with technical expertise.
  • Assist with the deployment, integration and initial configuration of new security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions; including network, and systems to improve overall platform security.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 6+ years related development/automation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competency in developing within the ServiceNow platform as a ServiceNow developer. (CAD preferred).
  • Experience developing in various languages (Python, JavaScript, Java)
  • Working knowledge of industry recognized automation technologies (e.g. Cortex XSIAM).
  • Experience writing code on top of and deploying to various cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with DevOps practices, tooling, and methods of operating.
  • Experience assisting customers and operational teams through the process of automating their daily work effort.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus).
  • Background working with data logging applications (e.g. Splunk, ELK,)
  • A proactive risk management mindset.
  • A working understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycles.
  • The ability to write concise and useful documentation.  
  • Ability to present and explain complex issues to executives and customers.
